New York Times best-selling author Katharine McGee came to us at the beginning of The Thousandth Floor Trilogy launch and said “I need a website that makes people wowed!” After hearing her story and what the trilogy was all about, we instantly gravitated to elegant touches of gold with rich royal colors and visuals. With the trilogy set to be in the future, we wanted the user experience to be unique as well, somewhat “never been seen before”. We accomplished this by using an atypical side navigation with a flowing scroll parallax, allowing for elements to float at the user.
The blog is the bread and butter for an author website. This is where they can keep the readers engaged. To do that we designed big sexy visual blocks of all different shapes and sizes, to grab the user.
